There may be a little voice in the back of your mind that says, “Something isn’t right”. If you ever hear this voice, please follow your instinct. Chances are your gut is right. It was that little thought inside my head that led me to even make an appointment with the doctor and a little louder voice that made me get a second opinion. You know your body and even with all the warnings that are given, you know when something isn’t right. It was after I was diagnosed with cancer when I was watching a medical show on TV. (The show shall remain anonymous) and they were discussing that women who are diagnosed with Ovarian cancer are over the age of 40 (me, no) and have had a history of ovarian cancer in the family (nope). I wanted to scream, “No! That’s not it at all!” Unfortunately the TV is not installed with a microphone connected to the host of the show. As I search more on the internet there are so many young women being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I’m not sure the reason, but I pray they can find the answer one day. Either way, I just hope that if you or someone you know has even a whisper of doubt or worry that you get it checked out, and if you aren’t satisfied with that answer, don’t be afraid to get another opinion. Can anyone relate to this feeling in your gut that turned out to be right? Let me know and comment below!
